Broward County Water and Sewer

The design and approval of new water lines in Broward county is a simple task. Water main extension and Sewage collection systems in Broward county include installation of water mains, fire lines, double detector checks valves, fire hydrants, gravity sewer mains, force mains, lift stations, pump stations and sewer laterals.

We typically start with the Utility Connection Permit (UCP). Contact the Water and Wastewater Services (WWS) for additional details. The UCP is the process by which WWS allows connection to or modification of its potable water, wastewater systems

The Broward County Water & Wastewater Engineering Division (WWED) is the engineering unit of Water & Wastewater Services. The Division is located at 2555 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, Florida 33069.

WWED is in charge of the design and construction standards as well as the minimum standards for the land development as it relates to water distribution and sewage collection in Broward county.

The final step in the approval of a new Watermain is to contact the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Contact the engineering section and fill out the general permit application.
